Maya 1999 - 2008
My dog Maya was a female Norwegian Elkhound. She died February of 2008.
Maya was an awesome dog with an amazingly lovable personality and a fondness for rolling around on any decaying animal carcass that ended up in my backyard. She loved the snow and loved the cold weather. She would lay around in the snow when it was 10 below zero and chew on fallen icicles. If I didn’t lure her inside to warm up once in a while, she would stay out all night gazing at the cold winter sky thinking dog thoughts.
